Men's shirt with embroidered initials

Embroidery is one of the finishing touches offered by LE CHEMISEUR®. You can have your own initials embroidered, from one to four characters, in capitals and without punctuation. We always stitch shirt initials in a thread colour carefully chosen by our stylist to match the fabric, for a men’s shirt that is perfect down to the last detail.

Having your initials embroidered shows that the owner of the shirt is happy to state clearly who he is, and it is also a nod to the origins of the shirt with embroidered initials. It sets you apart from ready-to-wear, adds a unique touch and lets you take personalisation all the way. All that remains is to choose the position that suits you best! 

Placed on the cuff, shirt initials are very discreet and invisible when you wear a jacket. They are of course far more visible when embroidered on the chest or at the fourth button, but we like that confident, energetic look with its very Anglo-Saxon elegance.

Initials on the left cuff are discreet and invisible when you wear a jacket. It is the option most often chosen by our customers. 

Shirt initials on the chest 

Initials on the chest are placed level with the second button, or on the corner of the pocket if you have chosen one. This option is more visible and more assertive: we find it has an energetic, Anglo-Saxon feel.

Shirt initials at the fourth button

The historic position for embroidered initials is level with the fourth button. In the past a gentleman was not supposed to take off his jacket in company, so the initials were placed where they would never be seen, often “Italian style”, at waist level.
